Procurement

From Producer to Importer, Retailer or Consumer

We support clients across multiple continents in sourcing wine, beer, spirits, liqueurs, and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
Through our extensive network of producers in Italy and internationally, we maintain direct access to up-to-date market intelligence, including consumption trends, bulk wine pricing, dry goods costs, bottling fees, freight rates, and lead times.

We collaborate with approximately fifty wineries across Italy’s principal production regions. This close integration with the supply chain allows us to monitor cost and price developments at every stage of an appellation’s value chain. We are experienced in evaluating and controlling production costs, negotiating pricing and commercial terms based on wine quality, packaging, and volumes, and selecting reliable, quality- and service-oriented suppliers. We also manage the efficient exchange of technical, regulatory, and commercial documentation.
We maintain bi-weekly contact with partners in around thirty countries, ensuring a constant understanding of evolving market conditions and trade dynamics.

Event Management

We regularly visit wineries and participate in major wine events across Europe and Asia, ensuring continuous exposure to producers, vintages, and evolving market dynamics. Each year, we attend leading international trade fairs, including Wine Paris, ProWein Düsseldorf, Vinitaly Verona, and Vinexpo Asia. We also take part in specialized events such as Grandi Langhe, Amarone Opera Prima, Fête des Grands Vins de Bourgogne, Grands Jours de Bourgogne, and Matter of Taste. Combined with our winery visits, these activities enable us to taste and evaluate thousands of wines from a broad spectrum of producers.

Alexander serves as a jury member at numerous international wine competitions, including the Berliner Wine Trophy, Mundus Vini, Concours des Grands Vins du Monde (Mâcon), Concours International de Lyon, and the Asia Wine Trophy.

Italian Wine Guides

Alexander published two books: “Wines of Italy”, a guide to Italian wine and “Amarone della Valpolicella”, a guide to Amarone and the appellations of the Valpolicella area. Both have been first published in Chinese translated by Stephen Li.

Amarone della Valpolicella

Amarone della Valpolicella is a comprehensive guide to one of Italy’s most significant wine territories, exploring Valpolicella’s denominations, wines, and native grape varieties.
The book opens with an introduction to Verona and the Valpolicella area, followed by an in-depth explanation of terroir, viticulture, and winemaking practices. Over the past three years, Alexander has visited more than 160 wineries, meeting winegrowers, estate owners, and winemakers, exchanging perspectives, and tasting a wide range of wines.
