Procurement

From Producer to Importer, Retailer or Consumer

We help customers in different continents and countries to source wine, beer, spirits and liquors and other alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

Thanks to an extensive network of producers in Italy and abroad we have first hand information on market trends, bulk wine prices, dry goods costs, bottling fees, freight costs, lead times.

We cooperate with about fifty wineries in Italy’s main production areas. Our network keeps us up to date on all cost- and price-relevant issues along each appellation’s value chain. We understand how to calculate and monitor production costs, how to negotiate prices and terms according to quality of wine, packaging and volume, how to choose a reliable quality and service oriented supplier and manage the information and documents exchange. We are in touch on a bi-weekly base with partners in about thirty different countries and have a good understanding of market dynamics.

Event Management

We visit wineries and participate wine events in Europe and Asia.

Each year we are at Wine Paris, MOT Zurich, ProWein in Düsseldorf, Vinitaly in Verona. We visit wineries and taste wines of hundreds of wineries.

Alexander is member of the jury at Berliner Wine Trophy in Berlin.

Trade Shows & Wine Tastings

We are specialized in wine events and wine tastings for trade professionals and wine lovers. We are very experienced in wine events in China. Our Chinese partners organized more than twenty events in Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Wuhan, Nanjing, Suzhou, Xuzhou, Xi’an and Chengdu for individual wineries or a group of wineries.

Masterclasses & Seminars

We organize wine seminars and masterclasses for individual wineries or a group of wineries. Our Chinese partner Stephen Li, based in Shanghai, is one of China’s most estimated wine educators. Stephen provides professional Italian wine qualification trainings and advanced courses for professionals and wine enthusiasts.

Italian Wine Guides

Alexander published two books: “Wines of Italy”, a guide to Italian wine and “Amarone della Valpolicella”, a guide to Amarone and the appellations of the Valpolicella area. Both have been first published in Chinese translated by Stephen Li.

Amarone della Valpolicella

Amarone della Valpolicella is a guide to one of Italy's main wine regions, Valpolicella and its denominations, wines and grape varieties.

It starts with a brief introduction to Verona and Valpolicella and explains terroir and wines. Over the last three years Alexander visited more than 160 wineries, met winegrowers, winery owners and winemakers, exchanged opinions and tasted their wines.

Wines of Italy

Wines of Italy is a guide to Italy's main wine regions, denominations, wines and grape varieties. It starts with a brief introduction into vineyard management and wine making.

Part One explains what happens in the vineyard, in the winery, in the bottle and in the glass. It explains some basic principles of vineyard management and wine making helping you understand how these impact on quality.

Part Two is an introduction to Italian geography, history, wine history, grape varieties and appellations.

Part Three is about Italy’s main appellations going from North East to North West, to Central Italy, to South Italy and Italy's islands explaining each region's main denominations and grapes.

The last part gives you an insight on the main figures of regions and denominations.
